Since starting nursery, she has grown so much in independence and enjoys showing me the new skills she has learnt, such as putting her coat on by herself and singing new songs. Acorn are brilliant communicators. Every pick-up, the staff are ready to talk through the day and answer any questions. Emails are answered promptly, the phone line is always picked up, and parent reports and meetings are consistently available, which makes it easy to support your child’s learning. I’ve been especially impressed with the extra support my daughter received when she struggled with specific sounds. The team were proactive, setting up smaller groups and using targeted SALT activities to help her flourish. Lorna and the rest of the staff greet the children with smiles every morning, noticing the little details that make drop-offs so positive. We have two girls who have been through Acorn nursery, the second due to finish in August and we couldn’t be more pleased with the time they have had here. My girls absolutely love(d) going in. ALL the staff are brilliant, warm, friendly and kind and my daughter even wanted to invite them to her party so that says it all. There’s loads of space and the rooms are very thoughtfully laid out.
