Foundation Degree in Early Years & Health & Safety Officer & Adult and Paediatric First aid trained

I am a Level 5 qualified childcare professional with extensive experience, having worked with children since leaving college at the age of 18. Over the years, I have developed a strong passion for providing high-quality care and creating safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.

I currently hold the role of 3-5 Senior Lead, I work closely with the preschool team to ensure that each child has a positive, safe, and enjoyable day at nursery. By communicating regularly and supporting daily routines and activities, I help create a nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and able to thrive.

As the person in charge of health and safety at Acorn Childcare Centre, I am responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for children, staff, and visitors. I make sure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed and that risks are identified and managed. I oversee daily checks, risk assessments, accident reporting, and emergency procedures, and ensure good hygiene and infection control practices are maintained. I also support and guide staff to promote a strong culture of health and safety throughout the nursery.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and making memories with my partner Alex. We especially love holidaying in Florida and going on cruises!
