At Acorn Childcare Centre, our staff team is made up of caring, dedicated, and highly qualified professionals who are passionate about giving children the very best start in life. We encourage our staff to continue their learning and development so they can provide high-quality childcare that supports every child to thrive. All staff take part in regular training, including in-house sessions, to keep their knowledge fresh and up to date, and everyone is trained in paediatric first aid.

We are proud to have two highly trained SENDCos and six safeguarding leads within our team, ensuring children receive the support, care and protection they need.

The Centre is led by a Manager, supported by two Deputy Managers, along with Senior Leads for our 0–3 and 3–5 age groups. Each Senior Lead works closely with a team of qualified Early Years Practitioners in their rooms. We also support Apprentice Early Years Practitioners, who are carefully selected and trained in partnership with local further education colleges.

Keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do at Acorn Childcare Centre. We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, and all staff share this responsibility. Enhanced DBS checks are carried out for everyone working in the Centre to ensure the highest standards of safety.
