    Key Worker Approach

From the moment your child joins the Centre, they will be allocated a dedicated Key Worker. This practitioner will take time to get to know your child’s interests, routines, and individual needs, helping them to feel safe, secure, and settled within the nursery environment.

Your child’s Key Worker will be your main point of contact and will be available to share daily feedback about your child’s experiences, achievements, and wellbeing. By working closely with you, they ensure your child’s learning and development are supported consistently both at home and at the Centre. This strong partnership helps children feel confident and valued as they learn and grow.

Your Child’s Learning Journey – Tapestry

All children attending the Centre have their own personal online learning journey using Tapestry, a secure and user-friendly system widely used in early years settings.

Tapestry allows our practitioners to record:

    • Photographs of your child taking part in activities and play

    • Observations of learning and development

    • Links to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

    • Notes celebrating achievements, interests, and next steps

As a parent or carer, you will have direct access to your child’s Tapestry account. This means you can see what your child has been enjoying at nursery, how they are developing, and how their learning is being supported. You are also encouraged to contribute by sharing special moments, achievements, or experiences from home, helping us to build a full picture of your child’s learning journey.

Permission to set up your Tapestry account is included within the Centre’s admission forms and is also available to download below. Our team is always happy to support you with logging in or using the system.

    Working in Partnership with Parents

We believe that children thrive best when nurseries and families work together. We value open communication and welcome parents and carers into nursery life through a range of regular events and opportunities, including:

    • Parent Consultation Evenings

    • Stay and Play Sessions

    • Preschool Graduation

    • Open Evenings

These events provide valuable opportunities to discuss your child’s progress, spend time in the nursery environment, and celebrate important milestones together.

By working in partnership, we ensure every child feels supported, confident, and happy throughout their time at the Centre.
