At Acorn Childcare Centre, we offer two welcoming preschool rooms that support children’s curiosity, independence, and confidence. Mighty Oaks is based within our main nursery, while Great Oaks is located in a specially adapted classroom at Malcolm Sargent Primary School.

Both rooms provide a child-centred curriculum using an “in the moment” approach, where experienced practitioners respond to children’s interests to create meaningful learning experiences. Each child has a dedicated key worker who supports their development and works closely with families.

Children enjoy rich outdoor learning, with dedicated gardens at both preschools and access to wider school facilities including forest school areas, fields, and playgrounds. Regular community visits, Funergy sessions, and library time help build confidence and support a smooth transition into primary school.
